There was no way they could have know that morning 那个早晨人们不知道发生了什么

That they awoke upon a fateful day 他们醒来面对命运的转折

The killer wind came down without a warning 杀戮之风没有告知人们他的来临

And no one had the chance to get away 没有人有机会逃离

The firemen were brave they fought with honor 消防员们为荣誉英勇战斗

But the blaze was more than it appeared to be 但是火焰显然更加凶猛

And one by one they fell beside their comrades 一个接一个，他们倒在同志们身旁

The victims of a foe they could not see 死于不可见的敌人之手

Mama where are you 妈妈你在哪里？

Papa where did you go 爸爸你去了哪里？

And where are all the children who used to play here 曾经在这玩耍的孩子们又去了哪儿？

Only heaven knows 只有天使知道

What they saw defied all explanation 他们看到的事实击碎了所有借口

Someone said the trees were glowing red 有些人说那些树发着红色的光

They say the light came from the radiation 他们说这些光来自辐射

But maybe it’s the spirits of the dead 但是这些也许是死者的灵魂

Mama where are you 妈妈你在哪里？

Papa where did you go 爸爸你去了哪里？

And where are all the children who used play here 曾经在这玩耍的孩子们又去了哪儿？

Only heaven knows 只有天使知道

Gone the homes the gardens and the play grounds 离开了家、花园、操场

Gone the souls who made their livings here 失去了生活的意义

They say this place will always be a ghost town 他们说这座城市将是永久的鬼城

It will be at least six hundred years 至少还将持续六百年

Mama where are you 妈妈你在哪里？

Papa where did you go 爸爸你去了哪里？

And where are all the children who used to play here 曾经在这玩耍的孩子们又去了哪儿？
